A LITTLE ABOUT MY WORK

I am currently the full-time Reporter for the Lake County Leader. I drive from each end of the county photographing, reporting and writing every topic.

PERVIOUS WORK

In the summer of 2025 I was the news intern for the Missoulian, where I covered a variety of topics such as events, local news and Missoula agriculture.

WHERE I  GOT MY START

I started in print journalism at the Montana Kaimin. I held positions as a news reporter and arts and culture reporter. As a senior reporter I achieved the J-School print reporting award and the in-depth reporting award as a Kaimin staffer.

Featured Work:

For this piece, I introduced the Kaimin’s first-ever live online print coverage. Inside a packed arena filled with chaos—and with the Wi-Fi cutting in and out—I worked alongside a team of journalists to report everything as it happened.

In this story, I discovered a unique community where history and current events intersect. By weaving together the past and present, I explored how the community has built its identity around melons.

For this piece, I spent weeks untangling the legal complexities behind the wave. What emerged was a story shaped less by clear answers and more by the confusion over responsibility and the actions still needed.

During my ten-week internship with the Missoulian, I developed an agriculture beat—uncovering unique stories, analyzing data and exploring the history of farming in Missoula.
